| IDLE SPEED CONTROL (ISC) VALVE
& ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) REPLACEMENT |
|
| |
| Dear Suzuki
Owner: |
| |
| Suzuki has received field reports regarding
AN650K7 & AN650AK7 scooters which are equipped with an Idle Speed
Control (ISC) Valve that may not return to the correct start-up position
each time the ignition switch is turned to the off position. Due to
improper shape of the internal mechanism that moves the ISC valve,
the valve may remain in the open position instead of moving to the
correct start-up position. This can result in no-load engine idle
speeds as high as 1600 RPM the next time the engine is started. In
this condition, the clutch can partially engage creating a slight
creeping force. Our records indicate you are the current owner of
a 2007 AN650 or AN650lA scooter included in this Customer Satisfaction
Program. |
| |
| Contact your Suzuki dealer to schedule
an appointment for the Customer Satisfaction Program service. Your
Suzuki dealer will replace the ISC valve and the Electronic Control
Module (ECM) on your AN650 or AN650A with improved parts. |
| |
| If you do not reside near the dealer from
whom you purchased your AN650 or AN650A, or you purchased your AN650
or AN650A from a private party, you can contact your nearest authorized
Suzuki dealer to schedule an appointment for the service. You can
obtain information about Suzuki dealers in your area online at www.suzukicycles.com
or by calling the toll-free dealer locator telephone number of 800-828-7433. |
| |
| To save yourself time and travel, do not
bring your AN650 or AN650A to your Suzuki dealer until you have made
an appointment. Please be aware that no other condition or service
is covered by the Customer Satisfaction Program. The cost of any additional
service you ask your dealer to perform is your responsibility. |
| |
| If you have an additional question that
is not addressed in this letter, please do not hesitate to contact
your Suzuki dealer or you may contact the American Suzuki Customer
Service Department for assistance using the direct Customer Service
telephone line at 714-572-1490. You will need to have your Vehicle
Identification Number ready when calling. |
| |
| We apologize for any inconvenience this
action may cause, but we are certain you understand Suzuki's interest
in your satisfaction with your AN650 or AN650A. |
| |
Sincerely,
American Suzuki Motor Corporation |
